Abandoned Chateau Lumiere in France

Chateau Lumiere, a magnificent building with such grandeur, its hard to believe its been abandoned.  Chateau Lumiere is a beautiful castle built in Renaissance style. During the last few years, Chateau Lumiere has become a bit of a tourist destination, with vandals smashing the large mirror in the big foyer.

Built in the early 1900s, this house was owned by a tobacco tycoon from Switzerland. The most famous inhabitant was a French minister who lived here with his parents for a long time.  After the owner moved away in the 1950s, the house was used for business purposes and was sold multiple times before finally being left empty.
